Posted on August 10, 2020September 9, 2019 by wankodr

Lots of people believe that they will be unable to use an iPad since they are not very good with technology. If you feel this way, then you should check out this article to see just how simple using a tablet can be. There are many useful tips found within.

If you want to organize your apps, create some folders. You can create a folder by tapping one of your apps and holding until all the apps are moving. Drag this app over a second app you want to place in the same folder and a folder containing both apps will appear. Drag other apps to the folder.

To create folders on an iPad is easy. Simply hold your finger over an application icon until it starts jiggling. Once it starts jiggling, you simply drag and drop it on another application icon. The iPad names the application at the time it is made; however, you can rename the folder to your liking.

You can access a remote server using a VPN. To make a VPN connection, go to Network and turn on the VPN feature. A server address and username will be required to use this. If the server address is not something you personally know, contact your network administrator.

Lots of people initially find it difficult to type on a tablet. There is a button that allows you to do speech dictation. Push your Home button two times and just tap on the tiny microphone you see. When you finish talking, hit it again and you will see it as text.

Are you constantly annoyed by the AutoCorrect on your iPad? Try this trick in the future. After you finish typing your word, tap on it in the suggestion’s area. That will ensure that you get what you typed instead of the AutoCorrect suggested word that automatically gets inserted when you hit a space.

Create folders to better organize your iPad screens. Just get your screen to jiggle mode and then place the icons on each other if you would like them in the same folder and repeat until you have everything where you want it. This feature is great when you have twenty or more icons.

The preloaded apps that came with your iPad might not correspond to your needs. Many of these apps cannot be deleted. Create a folder for these apps and place it toward the bottom of your home screen. That way, you can concentrate on the things you find most useful.

The iPad is a great tool for taking and emailing pictures. Once you have a picture that you want to share on your iPad, sending it via email is simple. Just open the photo on your iPad and look for the rectangle in the upper right-hand corner. Click on that and you will be given an opportunity to share via email. Simply choose that option and type in your recipients to send.

Did these tips help you? Do you still feel like you can’t use a tablet? You should be prepared to jump feet first into this wonderful technology as soon as you pick up your iPad! These tips were designed for any type of user to improve their own experience with an iPad.

Guidance On Web Design Success Is Found Here

Posted on August 1, 2020September 9, 2019 by wankodr

Do you want to turn web design into a career? If so, then you’ll want to learn as much as possible about effective website design.

Your visitors should be able to see your content regardless of the browser they are using. Test your pages with different browsers to make sure it is displayed properly. A site that works on Internet Explorer might not display right in Firefox, Google Chrome, or Safari. Therefore, check to see that all pages display correctly in all the large browsers prior to your site going live.

Always mark files that must be opened in an external program with an icon. Many sites host PDF files, and less commonly, DOC files, that must be opened in Foxit Reader and Microsoft Word/OpenOffice, respectively. These files should be marked with an icon representing the file type, and a link to download the appropriate viewer if the user does not have it.

Use shortcuts often. There are often shortcuts that can be used for just about anything when it comes to web design. There are even HTML codes that allow you to make fast changes to each of your pages without having to re-upload them.

If you believe your site may be accessed via mobile devices, you will want to keep your designs simple. The use of flash, excessive images, and complicated menus will not translate well to a mobile platform. Keep your page clean and simple, or create a specific mobile site for your users.

To help you design a site that is easy for people to read all the information, make sure the pages are not too wide. If the pages are not too wide then they will fit on most people’s computer screens. If the page is too wide, then part of your valuable information could be left off the page.

If you are designing a very large site, you should always include search capabilities. The best place to put your search box is on the top of your homepage. Shoot for the upper right corner. Users often expect to see a search box in this area and may want to search your site for the information they are looking for. You can get a search bar from Google or FreeFind.

Avoid using animated GIFs on your site. These were popular in the late 1990s, but newer technologies have replaced the uses for animated GIFs that were actually useful. Animated GIFs are low in quality and large in file size. Use static icons for page elements and actual video files for complex animations.

Be sure the websites you’re designing are cross-browser compatible. You must check your site in the most popular versions of every top browser. Some examples include Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari, Mozilla Firefox and Opera. Many users use these browsers for surfing online, so you need to be sure your designs are being seen correctly on whatever they use.

You probably are not as overwhelmed by web design now that you have read this piece. Now that it doesn’t seem so overwhelming, apply these tips to get started.…
